In short Teddy is amazing antagonist maybe the best in TWDU. But the rest of this episode was quite boring.

A submarine in the middle of nowhere? LOL C'mon, I thought this was the serious member of the zombies franchise...

In a race against time to stop Teddy's plan, motives are revealed and convictions are tested as Morgan and his allies infiltrate and make their way through the beached submarine that holds the tools for Teddy's destruction. Without spoiling the penultimate episode, I'll say that its different than what we have seen before and it serves as a build up for the season finale, which I have high expectations for. For this episode though, it's nice to see the gang back together or at least most of them. Colman Domingo finally getting some much needed screen time again and he shines the most, I'm so happy that the writers can finally write for Victor Strand after not knowing how to in S4 and 5. Lennie James, Austin Amelio, Christine Evangelista, Jenna Elfman, Keith Carradine and Karen David. Their performances are all great and seeing them together, their characters, is a blessing now days.

Heather Cappiello directed "USS Pennsylvania" and I have nothing other than praise to give her, her direction and vision is great. There's also some nice camera work and incredible cinematography. The episode feels claustrophobic for one reason, it's filmed in close quarters inside a submarine or that's what my guess is. The sets seem real and the atmosphere in that location is insane. The 40 minutes went by fairly quickly, because of the suspension and action. Perfect and fitting music which kept the suspension going, the editing and pacing is a big factor for that too.

The penultimate episode isn't the best episode of the season but the character interactions between Morgan and Strand is one of the highlights. When we first learned about the submarine and the keys, and later Teddy's plan... I expected something entirely different in their confrontation but I was left both satisfied and dissatisfied, I liked the episode though, mostly of how unpredictable it was. Alicia Clark is only referenced in this episode and I felt that they robbed some character development there as it could have given her 5 minutes of screen time to show her state of mind before the season finale which could have developed the character immensely if done right. Episode 6.15 was great.

Maybe next week's episode tops this, but holy shit this was soo good never expected this form fear I mean this whole season is sosoooooooooo good.

A stylish episode with Dakota (Zoe Colletti), brilliantly playing her deranged character, interesting twists, many bad decisions and poor writing.

Morgan again shows that he's way too soft for leadership.

My god, the plot armor and conveniences in this episode are ridiculous...

Teddy, Riley and Dakota prepare to launch the USS Pennsylvania's compliment of nuclear missiles, revealing that Riley was once the subs Weapons' Officer. Having been warned by Alicia, Morgan's group races to the Pennsylvania, finding the sub occupied by its reanimated crew while Luciana leads a smaller group to a Naval base in search of information to help them. Morgan, Strand, John, Grace, June, Dwight and Sherry fight their way through the sub, finding signs of an unknown catastrophe having befallen the crew, including one compartment with radiation levels indicating exposed radioactive material within despite the rest of the sub's radiation levels being safe.

Leaving the others behind, Morgan and Strand press on, but after getting cornered by walkers, Strand breaks Morgan's axe, stealing the head and leaves Morgan to fend off the walkers alone while he continues on. Strand is nearly killed by Dakota, but is saved at the last moment by Morgan who knocks Dakota unconscious. Using key cards recovered from the zombies, Morgan and Strand manage to enter the control room, but not before Teddy and Riley are able to launch one nuclear missile. The two reveal that the missile contains ten warheads all targeted on locations in Texas and can't be stopped. Morgan allows Teddy and Riley to leave and angrily blames Strand for their failure to stop the cult before sending him away as well.

I don't understand some characters actions. Sometimes I think they acting like so stupid... Like I said, for example I didn't get Strand and Morgan's actions on this episode. Sometimes they look like cool badasses but sometimes... oh my god they're so stupid. But in overall, this episode was a full pack thriller and I like it. This season is the best of the show.

This episode was by far one of the worst written, most of the episode could've been good and it started really well.

BUT: the characters were acting very out of character, making the weirdest decisions. The dialogue is TERRIBLE, it's just as bad as some in Season 4B and Season 5. It's so unrealistic and people don't speak normally.

The entire episode was mostly characters talking deeply about philosophy and hope, etc. It's very weird that two characters that are in a ticking clock situation are spending their time talking about morals rather than just going ahead and doing the mission.

I hope the finale is better. 6A was good but 6B is pretty weak.

All the things wrong with this series were present, including the above dialog, that foreshadows the real world of making this beached submarine of a show.

Good start but quickly stops making sense. No consistency to character motivations. Strand used to be a really interesting character but lately feels like he's only there as a plot device.
