Tired of sightseeing in L. A., Lucy and Viv decide to trek to Tijuana.
Another opportunity squandered. Viv is still Lucy's house guest (like in the previous episode) and the breakfast scene pokes fun at Viv's obsession with food. Unfortunately, not only does this episode take place south of the border, but the whole thing just goes south.
"Horrible Harry" agrees to drive the ladies to Tijuana - for a fee of course - and the trio clown around in a souvenir shop once there. There is a clunky plot where the proprietor cons Harry ("El Cheapo Swinger") into smuggling diamonds over the border by hiding them in a stuffed monkey.
Of course, they get stopped by the border patrol. The only good part is when Viv is eager to be manhandled by the Customs Agent. When Harry tries to explain the situation, he refers to Lucy as his secretary instead of his sister-in-law. I guess the writers forgot this wasn't THE LUCY SHOW.
Vivian's appearances are becoming notable only for how disappointing they are.
