A tightly focused episode, split between the Robinson and Kennedy dramas. It's nice that Susan's MS hasn't been forgotten and that they offer an almost credible explanation for why it hasn't been referred to recently.Karl's absence thankfully also isn't a convenient plot device to avoid hiring Alan Fletcher as he does eventually make an appearance.Rachel, on the other hand, finds herself increasingly on the outers with the family, especially with Zeke gone. She seems to be handling things a lot better than the supposed adults but she also rushes into a major decision which has even Ty and Toadie worried. The scene of her practising her smile in the mirror is rather cute.
Paul continues scheming but there's a counter scheme in progress from his disgruntled staff members.Sam's quietly removing herself from the scene after Paul and Rebecca's confrontation is a nice moment, as is the way Paul doesn't even acknowledge Elle before heading into his office.Lucas is fast shaping up to be one of the most lovable characters on the show, brilliantly lightening the mood in his role as Elle's sidekick, and it's also pleasing to see Sam on side with them. Although one does wonder how exactly Paul will react to this particular betrayal...
