That's more like it.

An exploration of the night that everything went wrong.

Close to me seemed to get going here, Part five has taken it up a notch, and the jigsaw, which has at times felt like a jumbled up puzzle, now seems to feel a little more cohesive.

Thoroughly enjoyed this, much better paced, a lot more going on, and the first time we really get to see Christopher Eccleston shine, and that he does, always good to see him when he's on top form like this.

I hope the last part is this good, 8/10.

Finally we get to see events from Rob Harding's perspective.

Here Rob is under heavy pressure, both financial and emotional.

He needs money from Jo so his company can survive. They are also moving apart as Rob has an affair with a work colleague who ends up pregnant.

Rob even binges on cocaine as his life is heading for freefall.

So far Christopher Eccleston has been wasted. Just appearing a little shifty here and there. Now he gets to shine.

It leaves little doubt as to what might have happened to Jo on that fateful evening.

There is finally momentum in Close to Me but it is too late. The series has just been too fragmented as it heads to its finale.
