Little Italy, Italian food, and delis are quintessential elements of New York, yet not typically what might come to mind when thinking "vegan." Lucia's Vegan Lifestyle takes us to places that are out to change all that. We'll stop at Galioto's, a family-owned and operated vegan coffee shop, grocer, and delicatessen in Little Italy. Tavola in Hell's Kitchen is a wood oven trattoria serving pizza, parmigiana, and lasagna with vegan mozzarella. Down the street, Vito's Slices and Ices also uses vegan mozzarella on their old-school slices and pies. Screamers in Greenpoint is the go-to pizzeria when vegans want to know they have everything on the menu - from the classic, to white slice with ricotta, zeppole, and cannoli. Join us as Lucia talks with the owners of these great places and samples the goods. Plus, a social media exclusive: Lucia has created an extravagant 5-cheese potato lasagna using one of her favorite vegetables - Romanesco. Tune in to find out how you can view the recipe.

On Season 3, Episode 3 of "Lucia's Vegan Lifestyle," we're talking vegan living for health. Lucia's guests, respectively, are a baker and a doctor - both glowing examples of going vegan to live your best life. And as each of them will show, it is right within reach - Lucia talks with Victor Munoz and Mika Altidor in Florida, who are recreating non-vegan favorites as an approach to health - at Victor and Mika's Bakery and in their new cookbook. Dr. Brooke Goldner talks with Lucia about eliminating processed foods, and refined sugars and carbs, to reverse chronic illness.

Recent articles in major publications have featured cultured vegan cheese and ask: "is the world ready to eat it?" Joining Lucia on Season 3, Episode 4 of LUCIA'S VEGAN LIFESTYLE is Lori Robin, founder of Cheezehound, who makes artisanal cultured vegan cheese - and it's delicious, healthy, and sustainable. Join Lucia and her guest in the kitchen as Lori surprises Lucia with one dish and shows us how to make another: gnudi - Italian ricotta balls - both using her Mutzarella vegan mozzarella and Il Pazza cashew ricotta. They start the feast with a caprese salad and find out what got Lori started making vegan cheese, living sustainably - as a person and as a vegan brand, all the reasons to be vegan and how it enters into every aspect of life: animal rights, human rights, environmentalism, health, and society as a whole. And they pair Lori's recipes with vegan wines.
