Just watched this educational animated short on YouTube as linked from the Cartoon Brew site by Jerry Beck. The title character is a young man who's nice to everybody and is liked by them as well. The narrator tells us he gets an annual health checkup every year. So he's surprised when his physician tells him he has tuberculosis. So this doc tells him-and us, the audience-what the disease is, how it is caused, and what steps are needed to cure it. Overall, this was a pretty interesting and entertaining short that manages to make an unpleasant subject a pleasant one to learn about here thanks to the animation and the music score which sounds like one you'd listen to on one of those sitcoms that were on television during this time in the '50s. So on that note, if you're an animation buff like I am, I'd say Rodney is worth a look.
