Honestly the best episode i've seen on television. Never have i been so scared of seeing an episode, and never have i been so traumatized afterwards. I wish disney hadn't shortened the third season... dana terrace, i respect your storytelling, but i also hate you for it. 10/10 my psychologist will be hearing about this one.

This is probably the best episode yet. Very climactic and really well done on every aspect. This show has a lot of soul and it shows in this episode with how emotional and serious it's willing to get. Overall really amazing episode that is also a really good cliffhanger for the next season.

Everything, oof, this episode, oof, every single emotion just went out the window, balling my outs eyes right now,,, 10/10. It was just so sad, but incredibly amazing and it's a same Disney shortened the 3rd season,,, i love every motion and the plot of this because it makes you feel some way. Characters have parent issues, home issues, trauma, it's incredible!!

Therapy needed

This episode, man... it was a goddamn wild ride, I was in shock and peril for most of it. And that ending... I'm gonna need like three therapists, maybe five in order for me to properly process it.

Before you complain that I gave this a 9/10, let me explain.

Warning: Spoilers
I actually found this episode as one of the best in the Owl House, after a great streak of episodes on Season 2B. However, this episode somewhat felt pedestrian for the Owl House and its overall greatness of a show. Please let me explain. I am actually both an Amphibia and Owl House fan, and the thing that somewhat bothered me here was honestly the overwhelming amount of parallels that are in between King's Tide and True Colors, Amphibia's S2 Finale. Spoilers for that by the way if you are watching Amphibia. Don't get me wrong, the episode is still good, and the revealing of the Collector is actually pretty cool, but like the similarities can't be ignored. First it was about defeating a villain, so that then another villain can appear. Both of these episodes contain, with King's Tide being against Belos and the Draining spell, and when that's stopped, the Collector comes in and stops the Draining spell, but starts this game called the Owl House, which reveals him as the next major villain since Belos got mostly destroyed apart from some part of him that survived in Hunter's shoulder when they went back to the Human Realm. In Amphibia S2 Finale, also known as True Colors, this also happened, as the primary objective was to defeat Sasha and Grime, only for then to be revealed that Andrias was the true villain all along, and that honestly hit way harder because of all the betrayals that were included, like Marcy's, in where it was revealed that she knew about the music box. Now, back to King's Tide, it also had emotional moments, like King's sacrifice to the whole friend group. However, it didn't hit the hardest that it could've, considering the collector was only in his normal shape for like 5 minutes, while the Andrias reveal happened midway through the episode, which left more time in him. The finale also ends in a very similar way, as both series end their seasons with their characters back on Earth. Do I think this episode is bad? Hell no! There are still a ton of great moments which are unique to the episode, and it's not like I'm calling this a True Colors copy. Raine and King's sacrifices were quite insane and the episode overall had a ton of action into it, which I found enjoyable. Anyways that's enough.

Warning: Spoilers
I think it's great, but not the best of the season... Plus, are people really thinking this is as good as the masterpiece "True Colors" from Amphibia?
