Getting better & better & better
bmiller596 July 2022
Each episode is escalating & giving a clearer picture of where this is going and why(as it should be).

Shows like this kill me because I want to binge the entire series or 3, 4 at a time, and then when it's over I try to find something to compare it to...like a good book series. So far this is where it's going with me.

I'm going to be sad when this is through because it is so good.

Why haven't I rated any episodes a 10 you might ask? It has nothing to do with the show. I'm just waiting for the climax.

great development

Warning: Spoilers
A lot of action and straight to the point scenes without unnecessary chatter and fillers... that is the way to go.,.

4 episodes and we kinda have a clear vision what is going on and why dudes are after reece..

nice show.. one of the best since Reacher. Action with a male protagonist that is not emasculated in favor of a random empowered woman. Good stuff.

Straying from the book but still a good watch
david-rowe-683-14693417 July 2022
So yeah...it's straying more and more from the book as the episodes tick by BUT that doesn't stop this from being a very good series. It's still following the same general jist of the book but the way it's playing out and the ordering of Reece's targets is quite different. Going to be interesting to see how they close it out...

Taking Care of Business
lavatch21 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Systematically, Reece is removing the players in the corrupt Capstone Enterprises organization. First, it is Marcus Boykyn who is taken out by a long sniper shot. Then, Reece travels to Mexico for revenge on Navajas, who was responsible for the murder of Lauren and Lucy.

While the episode's title is "Detachment," it is exactly the opposite emotion that drives Reece to undertake a much more dangerous mission by attacking Navajas' compound instead of the sniper shot recommended by Ben. Reece wants the personal satisfaction of looking the killer in the eye and virtually drawing-and-quartering him.

Katie is questioned and followed by the police, but she has discovered that Secretary Hartley's assistant is colluding with Steve Horn, who is now desperate to save Capstone Enterprises.

Senator Pryor will be the swing vote and it will be up to Harley's assistant to convince him to vote against the bill. Otherwise, the assistant will be nothing more than a footnote in Wikipedia.

Great and gore
Impressive how he fought back. But my review is about Constance Wu and why the hell did they choose that scene? She is talking to her brother and I guess she find that guy very cute since she kept bitting her lips like a young girl that is attracted by a guy. That scene was weird! Haha!

Warning: Spoilers
1. Reece snipes a lawyer 2. Katie is under police suspicion 3. Reece takes out guts

More flaws than not in this episode. Katie is such an uninteresting character so I can't really stand the writers spending more time on her involving her family and the police. Marco and the Mexicans also feel like a weak character that doesn't really serve a clear purpose. Overall couple stale moments that I am getting tired of. There's very little tension throughout the episode because it's clear that the threats they face are not really significant to Reece as Navaja was such an easy target. Zero casualty or cost. They don't even dwell on the fact that Ben is injured. That whole sequence was mostly meaningless other than the brutal part about tying up the gut, which I thought was pretty cool. The downfall of a one-man show is that it's hard to make any other character feel meaningful so it becomes tough on the audience to watch an interaction between Reece and anyone else. Also these memory scenes are becoming dull and repetitive.

Irresponsible Plot Development
jamesmott18 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
A decent enough story and cast goes off the rails as our hero Reece becomes progressively more unstable and violent, culminating in this episode with a torture death by him that is reminiscent of those old ISIS videos.

Disappointed
Jewilliams885 July 2022
I really hate being that guy but this is so far from the book that it's hard to watch. I've tried to watch it as something different but I couldn't. I really don't understand why they changed so much!! It didn't help the story and in some places, made it worse!! I'll keep watching because it's OK for what it is but man I wanted better.

Over the top
moranm-502562 September 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Possible very general spoilers follow. Implausible to anyone with any actual military experience. Rich guy wanders into the Pentagon underground with his goons? Nope. Bible discussion while devising a plot to kill "possible" murderers? Nope. And that is only two issues. Dialogue is basic at best with over used military jargon thrown in whether needed or used correctly. I tried very hard to like it and get into the plot but it was too over the top with complex issues oversimplified to fit the storyline. I haven't read the book but not sure I want to if the plot and story of the movie are close to the book.

Not as good as the previous episode.
silverton-3795918 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I'm starting to wonder why all the retired Teams guys are being shown as millionaires. Keep in mind that "millionaire" doesn't mean what it once did when the dollar was valuable, but still, these people, Dan and Riley, show signs of having retired rich or gotten rich a few years after.

I know that they don't look more than just comfortable and leisured, but they have toys that belong to rich characters: Dan's boat and Riley's plane. I know several retired people of the same background who are working at Home Depot (a retired Master CPO) or driving nails (a retired Master Gunny) to get by. Is this the kind of characterization the novel had?

It strains credibility, but I guess that millionaire friends make the hunt easier to write about. So, Reece detours to Mexico to the home of another rich friend in order to kill the hitman. The rich friend also has a team of SF operators on tap; a further strain on my credulity.

I'd say that this episode is a step down from the one just past.
