Promo Film
boblipton23 January 2024
Arthur Godfrey narrates this promotional film for the Doris Day vehicle, THE GLASS BOTTOM BOAT.

Although it starts out talking about Catalina Island, where some oft he movie was shot, it soon turn s into clips from the movie and behind-the-scene shots of the stars and director.

It's a typical mid-sixties sort of promotional movie, made after the major production companies would produce a couple of dozen features a year and have a department specifically to produce promotional films. Back in their busier days, they were called trailers, because they played at the end of the show. Nowadays, they play at the start.
