Diane is proud to live in Chicago where there was war in 1871 and Prohibition. Diane is a Chicago woman who lives in a condo that her sister owns. Her officer cop comes home and is angry she forgot their anniversary and leaves. She goes to work hoping it will be better but stops at the coffee shop. It is closed. Permanently. She goes to work and there is a new boss who wants to change the salon to call it Borough with a sleek style. Diane does not fit in and leaves.
It is Diane's nephew's birthday so she calls him. She does not know he has dodgeball practice and is the last one to be picked. Her sister Bonnie comes over and tells her she is selling the place. Bonnie wants Diane out in a week. Diane is now single, jobless, homeless. She goes to Bonnie's huge beautiful home. She picks up her nephew where she decides since they are both leaving, him to Stanford in Cali, they will throw a rager to end all ragers.
The nephew makes a graphic ad and tons of ppl show up. Bonnie comes in angrily as well and her Chicago accent comes out. Her son goes home and Bonnie tells Diane at the fire escape that she is at a party she didn't leave 20 years ago. This hits Diane hard.
