Fighting for equal rights, against violence, and fighting for your man to win nomination.
blanbrn2 June 2022
Episode 7 of "Showtime's" season one of "The First Lady" series called "Nadir" was one stand up and take action like episode in which all three first ladies fought for rights despite obstacles. Eleanor confronts the issue of race and segregation head on proving that all humans are created equal with rights. Meanwhile Betty despite dealing with addiction and substance abuse issues takes stand and campaigns for her man which helps Jerry win the Republican nomination. And not in the least Michelle stands up for gun control legislation after being personally affected by the issue of gun tragedy. Another strong showcase episode of the series that history and political buffs will enjoy.

Warning: Spoilers
How ironic that this episode speaks directly about murder by gun violence one week after another elementary school mass murder. I also don't like Viola Davis' performance.
