  Carolyn : [sighs]  Would you like a lemonade?

  Carolyn : How bout a whiskey punch? You look like you could use it.

  Margaret Dutton : Would you join me?

  Carolyn : Sister, I been joining you since noon.

  Carolyn : [Carolyn pours two glasses of whiskey, then retrieves an ice bucket from beneath the counter and adds ice] 

  Margaret Dutton : [surprised]  Ice.

  Carolyn : My husband bought a block in Fort Worth in January. Got the ice box down our well. Hundred pound block will last till June... if we don't get in there much.

  Margaret Dutton : Mm.

  Carolyn : This is the last of it and I ain't letting one bit go to waste.

  Margaret Dutton : [chuckles, sniffs, puts cold glass to her temple]  Sorry.

  Margaret Dutton : Thank you.

  Carolyn : Children can have that effect. Mine sure did.
