The Feels.

I don't do a lot of reviews but this episode deserved one. The acting was phenomenal. The characters' feelings were conveyed clearly and convincingly.

I needed some tissue and wanted to give them hugs.

You know sometimes in life something just grabs you and changes things? Well, this episode was that. I haven't cried this hard for a tv show or movie since 1989 when Shelby died on Steel Magnolias. Grab a box of tissues and enjoy watching Nic be a hero. The acting was done so well by everyone and the directing was phenomenal.

They did good.

Rarely when a beloved actor or character leaves a show prematurely is it dealt with as classily as this episode.

Emily VanCamp wanted a break from acting to care for her young family, and her exit was handled gracefully and with the proper amount of pathos.

I also love the dynamic that has developed between the grandpas.

From Everwood to Brothers and Sisters to The Resident I have always been a fan of Emily, and hope to see her on tv again soon.

Nic dies in this episode. So sad but so well acted by her colleagues and all those she touched. Matt Czuchry was especially good with his reaction and emotions. Can wait to see how he copes with and handles the loss as a single dad now!!! Glad we tuned in for this!!! Best of luck to Emily in her future endeavors but hope she comes back in flashbacks every now and again as Conrad recovers mentally.......

What an amazing send off for one of my favorite characters. I'm pretty sure I cried during the whole episode. It truly was the only acceptable way to send off Nic. Anything else would have been out of character.

Made it through this episode without completely losing my shit. Then that song started while they came down the hall. Shit = losted. I mean, shit was officially and totally lost.

Amazing range of emotions performed by the actors. It will be interesting to see how the storylines move along in different directions now. But this one hurt.

Still can't believe Nic is gone but it was done so well. Really sad to see her go but she has a young family and they come first. I was fine until the walk to the OR to harvest her organs, then the floodgates opened! Great episode.

This show is still hands down the best medical drama on tv. My wife and I watch them all. Such a beautiful story.

Beautiful Episode

Warning: Spoilers
When I saw the ending clip of the previous episode, I knew something would happen to nic, and honestly prepared be dissatisfied, I can name tons of shows where they botched the leaving of a character, they will either not give the significant of leaving or they will just not have the character come back and have some half-baked excuse! This show however, did it with such an elegance, and I am not one to get emotional during a show, but when they were walking her to the or for the transplants, i lost it, I also think it will bring a great story lines for the rest of this season and the more to come for Conrad and GiGi.

All too often actors leave a series and, due to bad blood or the callousness of the shows creators, the actors departure is not treated with respect. This episode is the way it should be done, especially when an actor is both beloved by her castmates and they walked away on good terms.

The one thing I felt was slightly awkward was at the end where the parade of people walked out of the OR with donor contai ears.

It was kinda like "Did ya have to show her leaving to OR in pieces!?" It was already implied when she went into the OR that she was donating her organs.

Other than that, PROPS for a job very well done.

Another great show, ruined.

Warning: Spoilers
No words to describe this season. I think the show must ended in season 4, when also Mina leaves the show...

I think this death was so quick and full of clichés.

Another show just like "Grey's Anatomy" ,etc. Ruined.

With another death in a misterious accident when no one was expecting it just to "throw away" another actor...

Please, understand that some actors ARE the show, and if they leave for whatever reason, just end the show or make another one, I don't know, but it makes no sense to keep doing it without them and just adding new ones... so sad.

It was a great show. So disappointing!

Not a perfect episode, but a pretty good farewell to a key character. This show has had a lot of cast turnover and I just hope it can keep the quality up.

Real review!

Warning: Spoilers
For a pretty good show, this episode was pathetic! They followed the formula laid out by many other drama shows when cast members leave, kill them off! Emily left for a reason & it wasn't because of bad things! They could have wrote her character was in a coma or had to rush to her fathers side because he was in a serious accident!! Many ways it could have been done instead of killing her character off!!

the show was going fine till...

So the show now called is... "New Amsterdam".

I mean what is wrong with the producers? Are they just having fun of destroying beautiful shows? We already had that feeling on new amsterdam and now this show is the same show as it. I'll try to stick but I'm not sure if I will till the end of the season.

Why do all medical dramas have to fall into the Grey's Anatomy formula?
perryroni24 April 2024
Warning: Spoilers
I enjoyed the medical drama and how this show focuses on the rotten health system in America. I loved the way they built the characters in the first few seasons. But then, just like Grey's Anatomy, lazy writers just started creating endless dramatic injuries of the staff instead of patients. Every episode, another doctor or nurse is being hit by a car, stabbed, inhales gas - and now one of the most important characters just suddenly dies. I mean - at least do this slowly, with some believable disease. Another Derek Shepherd to the list!

So sad the creators decided to go with this formula and abandon their uniqueness. Done watching.
