I'm really captivated by the concept and storyline, starting this morn and on episode 5 already.
My biggest gripe with this episode was that there's so many dumb things the adults are doing.
(Props to all the teen and child characters, they are really good.)
The main things I couldn't ignore:
1- why don't the mum, dad and detective actually share info with each other? Surely you'd tell your wife if someone mysteriously paid for your karaoke session, that's not a normal thing!
2- why do the mum and detective always go dodgy places alone?!
3- if the family installed a ring door bell half these issues would be solved.
It's a shame because the plot is intriguing and some of the performances are really emotional, and the flashbacks work well to build context. But my god those three adults are so difficult to watch.
