Great episode, Great performances from everyone, especially Voight and Halstead! And now we wait oh so long for the next episode. Want to say more but don't want to spoil it for anyone.

Amazing

Amazing episode! I enjoyed how both the case and this season's arc both got some development. Nice flow.

Tracy Spiridakos is simply phenomenal and probably the best thing to ever happen to this show. Another incredible performance from her.

Great episode! Did not see the ending coming!

Warning: Spoilers
Had me going to the last few minutes. Thought both daughters did the murder because the Dad was a pedofile. Caught the younger daughters little smile, when the Det. Asked her if she did it to see what it feels like to kill someone. As a retired, 41 year Police Officer, l dealt with a few psychopathic teenagers. They are truly scary!

As a side note, Chicago PD is on reruns for 4 weeks, then a NEW episode, then a Winter break until after New Years????

Did Not Expect the End

Warning: Spoilers
Really trying to take down Voight on the state, local, and federal level come and go and really do try but they are unable to as he manages to stay one step ahead.

But could he be in the meeting his match with Walker North who asked for to be assigned to the Roy Walton death in the season finale of 8.

FBI agent North tries to dig in but the CI unit is so tight and that Jay, Haley, and Voight now need to watch their backs. Due to North wanting to have a career to take charge of the Chicago FBI office.

As all three now knowing that they could bite off more than they chew. As one of them is urged that they could be arrested or that taking down a bigger fish on it as will not spoil who the person was but North never will learn it seems.

Try to take down Voight has backfired though it has come close. May need to try to dig up skeletons in his past. Hope it does not last that long. Hope it will finally be resolved asap!

Hank has exhausted the allotted nine
printsofdarkness11 November 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Lindsay covering for Hank avenging his son's death in S3 going into S4. Olinsky doing the same in S5 and paying the tab for his friend in the process. Ruzek holding the line first for Antonio, then Hank in S6. These cases ultimately didn't make, and Voight survived to fight another day.

Now Upton, and later Halstead are carrying his water. Realistically, how are Hailey and Jay going to toe the line without getting caught in a lie, or jeopardizing their careers or freedom? It's a forgone conclusion that Hank will skate on this one as well, being that the show is guaranteed a tenth season.

There has been a war on Voight from the show's start, with him prevailing every time. Even with the willful suspension of disbelief, what was a series of failed battles becomes a campaign of attrition, with the ultimate casualty being Voight's reputation. Hank has said as much. Plausibly, the unit would have been disbanded years ago as a direct result of these numerous cases being opened, irrespective of them not once meeting the threshold for indictment. That's the thing about a TV series- the need for the show to continue is often in opposition to narrative plausibility. That's a very fine needle to thread. I still find the show engaging, but eventually, in good fiction as in life, the bill comes due. That's what Al's death represented in S5. What will the cost be this time?

Ugh. Really?
smartinezmd22 December 2021
First off, I would like to say that I rated this entire series a 10/10. I really enjoyed it. A bit of plug and chug with the plots but the actors and the characters that they play make the entire series fun and worthwhile. I am nonplussed - no, gobsmacked - at the number of reviews that exclaim "OMG Didn't see it coming?" Really? Okay. Here I am reviewing the reviewers. North was obviously put into the series for a purpose and a significant purpose, too. It's getting towards the end of the season so it was just a matter of time - minutes or seconds - for him to deliver something horrific to the plot. NIcely done. But, honestly, how could anyone not put 2 + 2 together and not see 4 coming down the road? Why I rated this particular episode so poorly was because of the other plot - and, yes, I couldn't see it coming at the very beginning of the episode but the writers brought us there rather quickly. I felt that the acting of the two young women was not good. Not horrific but not great, either.isters. Of course they're at the beginning of their careers, I felt that this part of the plot was somehow - not implausible, but rather - contrived.
