An unseen Twain with a highly uneven mix of materials
walenk17 February 2014
Really a 5.5. Anyone expecting high production values will be disappointed. This production is capable of high quality work, sound, music, historical video, video recreations..., but not consistently. This inconsistent narrator lacks verisimilitude. This might be a problem if the title is taken seriously, but there is more insinuation here than actual danger. The biggest danger is to Twain's reputation as a loving father. Then there is a twist...sort of. (spoiler!) May be the bad girl couldn't find another gig and was reduced to living in reflected glory 48 years later. The film is in focus and not the usual Twain hagiography. Much better than other "found" materials these days.
