Tragedy of Existing
irfan_meric25 February 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I think the main themes of the show peaked in this episode with; Marcus encountering a creature that we had seen before, Paul being infested by another creature and Sue collecting leachers out of one of the same devolving once-human(?) creature and a so-called 'inhuman' android taking direct revenge just like a human would do. With all that is happening, believes and religions are at two sides of a blade. Delusion gets you killed and hope keeps you going and the truth to it, is much more complicated. After all, it is a giant and unknown world/nature out there and not just humans, but all other 'living things' experience the tragedy of existing; knowing so little of the reality and trying to find their ways with knowing so little and try to make sense of their take on reality and try to make it work. During that, each comes up with an idea to wish what they lack the most from a higher power.

"What is the difference between the god and some alien transmission from out there?"

this one made me cry

I seriously hope this story is fully scripted out, and they are not winging it.

Because the progression of the tale is still gripping, still interesting, still fantastic. In this one the question of faith and service, worthiness and blind chance is repeatedly addressed.

Brutal. Unnerving. Poignant and disturbing.

The seeds have definitely been planted.

Glad I stuck it out

Season 1 was very slow. It took me several months to get through the season, watching it on and off. I've watched the first 5 episodes of season 2 in 3 days.

Hooray.

Hahaha. Vrille, you made my week! I wasn't sure about the first half of this episode but they definitely brought it the second half.

Excited to see what's next.

Best one so far

Even though it started slow, this season has been a banger so far. This episode probably takes the cake as the best one of the series so far. The directing in this episode especially is god-tier. Very eager to see what the rest of the season has in store for us.

Best of Season 2

Until now (final episode not out yet) this has been absolutely the best episode of season 2 and reminds us why we love the series in the first place.

Its intense, horrific and awe inspiring - kind of like the Alien.

I'd been ready to anything

But it blasted my mind. The best episode of the season.

It happened: the scenario started present some unexpected ways of the story. The play of actors becomes more efficient and interesting.

Do you know the TV-series that had on the start bad actors play and poor story, but season-by-season was expanding it? Yup, it was The Game of Thrones.

I hope that the RbW would be the same.

Really?

Warning: Spoilers
Acid sea, the girl need to get leeches from it - OK. But, all the rocks around are wet from the water and yes, acid sea covered these rocks a few minutes ago. OK, guess it is not acid when people who need something badly touch everything with bare hands. Then, some creature jumps out from the water (acid) and it is OK to touch it with bare hands because...? What? Moronic. So glad this tv show got cancelled.

Is jumped the shark now.

Giving up on it now. It's getting too mystical and nonsensical. Season one was interesting. Season 2 seems like a poor quality b movie and has been getting worse each episode.
