Details well the events that lead to Franklin being damaged, the life-and-death struggle to keep her afloat, her travails in returning home and what became of her. In particular, highlights the incompetence and sheer thuggery of her commanding officer, how this contributed to the incident and his subsequent conduct.
Good use of interviews of surviving sailors. Shows what the events meant to them and the ordeal they went through.
Decent narration by Dale A Dye, when I could hear him. The producers insisted on playing music over his narration, and cranking up the volume of the music vs his speaking, making it difficult at times.
