I agree that the first several minutes and the inane talk about relationships got really tiresome. Is this just filler. They've already established most of it in previous episodes. What was good was a breakthrough that led to a group of myopic leaders sitting on their hands, doing nothing. Obviously, were this a real story, we can understand the need to be cautious; but when the caution leads to danger and betrayal of those who lost lives, it seems ridiculous. Kate has been hung out to dry here. Her actions are continually courageous, but she has trouble with traction. At one point she is told that she is perfect because she is not "big." She's not upper echelon but not of the lower tiers. I'm curious to see if there is any closure coming in the final episode.

The back half of this episode was good and was enjoyable, but it just opened with so much nonsense surrounding the love lives of the central four characters. We know that Netflix tends to get a bit too soapy with the stuff they give us so it is no shock that this was going to happen, but it just brings down the mood so much. It is hard to go from talking about world diplomacy and a volatile situation with Russia one minute to talking about how you don't trust your husband, or you want to go public with a torrid romance the next.
Still enjoyable and looking forward to seeing how it all wraps up.
