Who Couldn't Use A Third Eye?
boblipton2 April 2023
It's a joke. The lessons learned from the study of atomic energy have changed over the seventy years since this film was made, but its emphasis on the peaceful and useful purposes to which atomic energy can be applied is as timeless as any homily. Atomic energy can be used for good purposes, as well as evil ones, just as much as any invention; an electric current, after all, can be used to power a light bulb and bring light to darkness, or to electrocute someone.

Fred MacMurray talks a bit with James Keller, the founder of the Christophers, who then introduces two straight educational films and then a third fictional one. It all concludes with Keller exhorting his audience to take an interest in the world and pursue good.
