Steve and Danny Bonding Time
shelbythuylinh10 March 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Both men take a hike to look at rocks. Danny is a city boy. Too bad the show when it was on did not go to Jersey. That is something they had missed.

Anyway they find a dead body and begin investigation of how that person got killed. A fisherman that should had died in the water was found in the hills.

We find out why Chin took the fall over his uncle stealing the money and being fired from the force. Was to save his aunt, the uncle's wife as she was awaiting an organ transplant.

Chin may have had scorn with the HPD but found a home with the Five 0 task force.

Warning: Spoilers
Steve has to be rescued after breaking his arm when he and Danny go hiking and discover a dead body. Perhaps, this could have been more exciting had they had difficulty in locating the dynamic duo.

The dead man turns out to be a fisherman who had the misfortune to see a culprit being led away by his father. He took a bullet for that and the usual technology gets us to the guilty party.

Our Asian police cousins go off to Uncle and Auntie when they are told that the latter will not last out the night. Uncle did an illegal thing in trying to get a kidney for the stricken auntie. When Aunie goes, our female officer wants Daniel Dae Kim to come clean on why he took the fall for his uncle. Interesting, but should have been further discussed in a complete episode.

Series 1, Episode 20

The writers of this episode obviously did not think this one through. Our heroes found a dead body, that of a fisherman that had been shot. The bullet had apparently passed right through his body and was no where to be found as he had been killed elsewhere. But.........fish scales were discovered around the bullet's exit hole and they came from a rare species of fish that was being served at a local restaurant. Danny and Steve visited the restaurant and found a container with fish from the recent catch and while sifting through the fish, Danny found one that contained the bullet that had killed the fisherman. Now this is where the problem with the story comes to play. How did the fish scales appear around the exit wound on the dead fisherman's body, if the fish was the LAST thing to be struck by the bullet?

Warning: Spoilers
Okay episode, but redundant. The episode starts out with the two lead stars taking a hike in the mountains. The drama begins with the two protagonists finding a dead body, and McGarret breaks his arm in a fall. The episode has the usual false lead murder suspect. I find the false lead plot device is getting old. There is the Danny humor story element with Danny looking for a bullet slug among a box of fish. I laughed at that part! The series sub-story of what happen to the money/evidence is merged into this episode. This episode ends with the usual redemption of the victim and the capture of the murder suspect. The producers need a few new story twists to keep the show fresh. I give this episode a six out of ten.

One of the weakest episodes

Warning: Spoilers
Steve and Danny go hiking in the jungle and just happen to stumble upon a dead body that is almost still warm. A little bit too convenient. I find that when Chin and Kono interact in a family storyline the show lags. She should stick to drop kicking 250lbs guys.lol The main storyline revolves a father jetting his murderous son out of the country to avoid prosecution. Now if the father ships his son out of the country why doesn't he stay with him rather than come back to kill the witness and set both of them up with murder raps? The end was even a little bit more bizarre with Chin and Kono sitting with the boys having drinks at The Hawaiian Village instead of being at their dieing Aunts bedside, especially since she is not supposed to make it through the night? I really like this series but this one I think they mailed in. I hope it's not a trend.
