A number of people suddenly suffer from severe breakdowns resulting in their regression to childhood and the end will be death. While Pete and Myka are investigating this, Claudia and Steve are tracking down a knife owned by Typhoid Mary. It's Claudia's first assignment as the lead agent and she plays this up to the hilt but then gets an attack of insecurity (fortunately, she quickly gets over it). Meanwhile Pete and Myka connect the breakdown victims with a murder case and run across an overly opinionated television reporter. The gadget gimmick is a good one - Walter Winchell's cuff links and who wears a tie clip anymore? I'm too young to have heard Winchell on the radio but do remember him from The Untouchables and have often heard his program opening of "Good evening Mr. And Mrs. America..." This show was a nice nod to his long gone popularity. But the real story in this episode is the growing friendship between Claudia and Steve.
