Yeah, agreed with JosephFabeetz. Remy is a better fit than Lacroix was.. I mean, during season 1 when there was still the ghost of his diseased wife and his estranged relationship with his kid, the character was interesting.. .but the moment blondie appeared and he was not mourning the wife anymore,, and specially when they shipped off the kid to wherever she went and the maternal grandparents simply disappeared as well, lacroix simply became bland without depth..

so in this episode we have some crazy lady that likes to con people into giving them money.. she pretended to be a yoga instructor and finesse some rich lady into loaning her some money.. of course, we needed to have some feminist lines thrown into the mix like "us women, we need to help each other rise up" and when con artist asked her if Steve would be ok with the loan, she replied "oh please, Steve doesnt control what I do "
yeah, you are a housewife and giving his money, 25k, to some woman.. it is not control, it is about consent.. a verb that women love to throw around nowadays, right?
Anyway, i liked how they did this plot.. there was some assault that made main villain do her actions but instead of just making a man the bad guy, as they always do, they made the mom take the money to be quiet and just spend on herself and not care about her abused daughter at all.. poor girl..
and ortiz situation with the brother.,. Nicely done.. i thought they were just going to make him give the money to hannas brother.. it would be a mistake because she would find out eventually and got mad at him.. dude, you know her way before you met the guy.. your allegiance is to her and not to him.. but he got him the money and told him he needs to tell his sister what happened..
