John and Marjorie are preparing their two-piece/two-person horse costume for Miss Bottomly's annual costume party. They comically try to open the door while in costume. Meanwhile, Coach Adams (Hamilton Camp) is frantic after half of his basketball team is down with flu. The coach and students insist Little John play in the upcoming big game, and Big John agrees. Valerie tells Marjorie that she has a crush on Little John. Everyone dreads flu shots.
