The chance to see Tony Bennett and Carrie Underwood perform is an added bonus for this Blue Bloods episode. A new mayor has been elected and of course Tom Selleck is not optimistic about keeping his job because that's the way of things when a new administration comes in.
But Selleck really has a delicate situation on his hands when a fundraiser for the mayor is found shot to death in a parked car in a neighborhood that was not one he was known to frequent. At least known by his wife who as luck would have it is a friend of Bridget Moynahan.
In fact at the beginning of the show we see the husband call his wife Kelli O'Hara while she's at dinner with Moynahan in a girl's night out and tell her he was on the way to Albany.
Putting it simply he's cheating on his wife with someone he should have avoided. When Donnie Wahlberg and Marisa Ramirez catch the guy I have to tell you he's some piece of work.
This episode sets a running pattern for the next few as the question of whether Selleck keeps his job is unresolved.
Nicely done and there's Tony and Carrie which is always good.
