Like a phoenix rising from the ashes, Leonard Knight created Salvation Mountain near Niland California out of a nondescript hill composed of desert dirt and adobe. He worked on the Mountain for over 25 years, and the Mountain is a testimonial to his dedication to God and universal love. Director Andrew Doyle does an excellent job chronicling Leonard's life; from his roots in Burlington, Vermont until his passing in February 2014. This is a must-see movie for both the multitudes of people who knew Leonard and have visited his Mountain, and for all future visitors who have heard about Salvation Mountain but have yet to go there.
