Warning: Spoilers
The Resident got very political with COVID early on, but eventually was able to move past it. Now it seems like they are just skipping a step and going political without any cover ups.

Still, the idea of the hospital budget being slashed is the next logical challenge for this place. A hospital on the brink of closing for good a few years ago now may be headed in that direction again.

Not sure if I want Conrad's relationship issues to plague an entire season though. They wisely did not make this such a big deal outside of a few episodes last year. I worry they're going to up the ante big time this season.

How to Ruin a Good Show
fendert-544089 October 2022
Textbook Hollywood method on how to destroy a good show. How about keeping skewed politics out of our entertainment! Yet another show that started off good but one I will no longer watch due to the politics that is now a part of nearly every episode.

This is a medical show with great characters but the writers continually dilute the core of the show by inserting every politic cliche that they can think of. With half the country split politically, do these people (writers, producers, executives) not understand that they are alienating half of their viewers when they do this to shows meant to entertain? The obvious political agenda and not so subtle messaging inserted into these shows is not changing anyone's mind. Please stick to entertaining us!!!!

Seriously

Could you be anymore obvious? People watch fictional television programs to escape every day life. Since when is Kemp a millionaire who has never held office before looking to cut hospital funding? Stick to People having extremely rare medical conditions over and over and over again. Our discriminatory voting laws require people to have identification to vote. Just like you have to have to buy a gun. Or drive. Or open a bank account. If you want to get political wwhy don't you bring up inflation or astronomical fuel prices. Or maybe mention the stock market having record drops and being stagnate for oved six months.

Disappointed in the start of the season!

The Resident has been one of our favorite shows since it started. But in this year's show, the heavy-handed political commentary is ruining the show for us. Stick with medicine and stop dabbling in politics! The race for governor was featured heavily in the second show of the season and really took away from the main focus of the show.

I hope the writers stay out of politics or we're done watching. We are hopeful that the writers can turn things around and get back to the high quality writing we've come to expect.

Why do these reviews need to have 600 characters? Sometimes brevity is better than blabbing on and on!
