This show is definitely an easy watch, especially when there are very few shows on TV these days (seriously, what has happened to the summer featuring a lot of programming?) but it continues to not really be original.
The whole premise of befriending the future wife of an oil lord, all of the scenes at the house felt very much like Apple TV's Tehran which is a good thing, but it lacks originality. Nicole Kidman is really phoning in her character, and having the husband who does not care at all and is just focused on work and money, yeah there has never been anyone like that on TV before (rolls eyes.)
