This show continues to be one of the best on broadcast TV and yet this season has gone a little bit off the rails. It started with a fairly interesting premise, and a family that is ever so similar to another famous NYC one, but this episode just upped the ante too much. A vicious beatdown and attempted murder, and a poisoning thanks to a scarf?
I would like them to actually dismantle the Organized Crime task force for a few episodes to get across the seriousness of the issue, but we know there is no chance of that happening. They never actually go through with consequences on these shows: see Stabler still being a cop for example.
