Too much love life
shuny6 December 2022
I am tired of all the love life intrigue in this show because it always seems opportunistic. Characters are added just to make a person available for romance and then another arrives to cancel the relationship. They should spend more time on police work. Unfortunately, they are about to force that talentless Niecy Nash down our throats again. It was bad enough when they debuted her for her horrible show on The Rookie, but now to help save it from cancelation they are doing a crossover episode to force us to watch. She has absolutely zero talent. She is always loud and abrasive. She had the exact same personality when she was a guest on Monk in 2004. Just cancel her low rated show and be done with it without torturing us.

Hilarity of American police tv protocol
HarbingerUK8 December 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I like this series, I really do and it covered some great themes however periodically they become ludicrous in the plots.

The characters struggle becomes nonsense.

There are lots of sub plots in this episode and the overarching feeling is it's a filler episode as no one really cares about any of the plots, at all's However the star of the pointless plot that no one cares about is the death in custody.

I mean really, what's the plot line.

They shoot and kill bad guys regularly in this series, but an arrested prisoner that dies whilst you are nowhere near them and have actual professional alibied due to you being in hospital yourself gets you suspended.

Ludicrous.

The Best Yet
doug2go5 December 2022
I have enjoyed this series ( all but a couple of shows that were Show Runner Brain Cramps with video camera's like a home video - they were the biggest waste of an hour except of the Season 8 finally of When Calls the Heart - the worst show I have watched in 20 years ) - but these two fall season finals were terrific , great action, suspense and finally romance for Lucy and Tim - the show runner got this one right - the obvious chemistry between these two hasn't been waisted. Looking forward to the renewal of one of the most entertaining series on TV - I now rate it higher than NCIS after they had the Mickey Mouse comic relief nerd hook up with the Kick Ass Agent - on a stupid scaled that is a 12 .

Not a fan

I absolutely hate that Bradford and Chen are already planning on dates when technically she's still with Chris. Pretty sure I'm the only one that doesn't prefer Bradford and Chen together. She's stunned that Chris doesn't wanna talk to her. Duh, you just dump him, there's nothing to talk about.

Really Bad Fight Scenes
thomas-flores8410 December 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Is it just me, or has the action on this show gotten really bad? It's not just that they have a 100 pound woman winning fist fights against a 180+ pound man without having previously established some sort of extraordinary fighting techniques, but there is a gun fight where two people literally empty their magazines from less than 10 feet apart without hitting each other. The man then just holds his empty gun arm out long enough for the cop to smash it again the wall that allows for victory.

I suspect the show must have replaced their previous fight choreographers with a much less experienced team.

Terrible writing
akaalmodova8 December 2022
Who wrote this episode? It almost seems like they brought a literal Rookie writer in. There were so many unexplained holes in this episode, so many things that seemed like they could have led into something with more potential but nope.

The storyline with the Greys and their daughter was the best part. But everything with Nolan and his new rookie, was terrible. Didn't make sense, and was such a let down.

Not sure what the writers were thinking this episode. I know it's not the most realistic series, but it's usually at least believable. This episode just literally had WAY too many holes and empty potential.

Too much for one episode
kggpnn14 March 2024
Warning: Spoilers
The episode was ok. It felt like there was too much going on in one episode. The kidnapping of Grey's daughter could have been more developed, for example.

The real issue I had was with Selina possibly losing her job over the guy who died AFTER being booked and that was AFTER he was taken to the hospital to get checked out from the physical altercation he had with Selina during his arrest. He was fine, but then was attacked in holding. Shortly after the fight in holding, the robber died. Selina was put on administrative leave pending an investigation and was facing potential murder charges. The robber literally just was fine at the hospital and then got the snot beat out of him after being booked. It just didn't flow for me. Granted, I have no idea how that works in the real world.

Then for personal preference, I didn't like Chen and Bradford making plans to go on a date that were contingent on her breaking up with Chris. If things have progressed to that point (which we know they did a few episodes back), she should have ended it with Chris a long time ago instead of staying out of guilt.
