Satisfying Season Ending
Sarah42320 January 2023
This was a very satisfying ending to a season or, if worse comes to worst, to the show itself.

Love that they understand not every ending has to be tragic.

Great acting all around. Characters stayed true to themselves and plot made sense.

Sad to see Reba go; what a great guest cast.

Hope to see Jensen Ackles come back if there's a season four (this is the best work he's done since Supernatural, and it was nice to see him again weekly on the screen)

My top kudos go to DeDee Pfeiffer, who handled everything thrown at her and made me love every scene she was in.

Also loving me some J Anthony Pena. That character needs more play going forward.

Nailed it

This was a truly satisfying finale to a great season of a show I'll be rewatching (and waiting for a DVD because streamers are fickle sometimes). It managed to tie up a lot of strands that have been merely meandering throughout the season while still leaving many open ended plot points and beloved characters still in play for a (probable?🤞) season 4. This episode delivered on many levels: twisty misdirections like the trailer explosion and a missing knife, unlikely possible romances, some great stunt work and cinematography and above all the acting. Rex Linn and Reba McIntyre were both superb in this episode as was Cree as the terrifies daughter. Words fail on Jensen Ackles' performance. I've come to expect excellence from him but this degree if raw emotion barely controlled was really impressive. This is how to do a season finale.

That Old Feeling

Warning: Spoilers
The third season of this show began with a lot of promise, but kind of ended on a week note. If you have seen a show like this before you knew exactly what was going to happen with Sunny and Buck.

I feel like the show did not have a clear plan for how they wanted to end things.

It is a disappointment because this story had potential, but things got lost in the shuffle. I also wish they set up a potential story for the future which would give us hope for a fourth season of Big Sky, but we had no such luck here. This leads me to believe the cast and crew is comfortable if this is the end truly.

Grande finale of stupidity and indolence
dkbkyds15 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Heavily wounded Buck is moving and fighting like a healthy person. Police behaves like a total bunch of amateurs. Frankly speaking it's so sad that Disney doesn't provide 2x playback speed. But after all it's so good that it's the last episode and I hope that no one agrees for a new season.

But one thing I can't understand - how people can rate it above 5? Didn't you watch anything better ?! There are tons of great police series (Mentalist for example) that are witty, engaging and surprising. This one is definitely for people with extremely low expectations who just want to watch something.

Strong 2/10.
