The Fantastic Voyages of Sinbad is one of the decent entries of an animation studio's mostly fun(though sometimes disappointing) output. It isn't perfect by all means, the dialogue can be corny and the voice acting clichéd. The animation is also rather uneven with the character designs a little rough. However, there are some nice colours and backgrounds, and the music fits with the fantasy-adventure nature of the story very nicely. The story- a good one to begin with also- has the spirit of the Arabian Nights, and thrillingly told with a touching ending. Some scenes were over a little too briefly, but never devoid of any kind of impact. The characters are not unfamiliar in the fantasy-adventure genre, but they are still engaging, Sinbad is a brave dashing hero but it was the old man who came across as the best character as I really identified with him and his situation.
All in all, entertaining and nicely done, but if the dialogue, voice acting and some of the animation quality were better then it would've been fantastic. 7/10 Bethany Cox
