I saw The Trestle at Pope Lick Creek at an evening of short films. Since some of them were students' movies, The Trestle at Pope Lick Creek had a relatively easy task to stick out as the most mature output presented.
The production quality amazed me or the way the film "looks like". The warm colors are on par with anything brought forward as art-house on any level. The actors' performance, in particular the main protagonists's, was solid.
I had some things to comment on the script, but that is a personal preference. With time i'm not into "difficult" topics anymore.
Given the hardship which the independent authors have to overcome in order to bring their work to screen, i hope that The Trestle at Pope Lick Creek wold help the crew to continue creating works of art.
