It is, quite possibly the shortest ever episode at only 36.39 but far from the best but not the best either.

The story is a bit thin but that has been the case throughout with this revamp as we see behind the scenes of the project so much more than in the original series.

Addison is always eye catching and hides the charisma that Ben so lacks.

There are good moments here but no real humour with the show again focusing on relationships and sentimentality rather than a riveting script (apologies to director fellow Brit M. J. Bassett).

Neal Russell seems a credible character and it is good to see older actors taking centre stage.

OK but not edge of the seat stuff.

A heartfelt closing scene.

Guest starring Tim Matheson

Warning: Spoilers
Dr Ben Song never returned home...well the fact that NBC has unfortunately axed Quantum Leap (the new one) after two seasons is a travesty of justice, and it's a shame NBC didn't give the series room to grow. Also it's a shame Scott Bakula didn't make a cameo appearance on the new series because that could have helped things along and increased the profile. Because really, Cheers, M*A*S*H, Seinfeld, well they all struggled in their first season or so, but thankfully back then the network didn't pull the rug so quickly.

Tim Matheson guest stars as movie legend Neal Russell in this episode init.

Gone from ok to bad and boring

Warning: Spoilers
The first season had some bumps in the road but was fairly decent for tv. This second season is rough, all of the episodes are boring. It already was trying at times to do too much with to much cast and now we've added more and not less. The show has no direction and the start of this season was tedious and confusing because suddenly 3 years went by without any back story being done. It's bad to have to much back story and now this has none. The relationships are now just wooden and awkward, there is no chemistry at all anymore with anyone. The stories suck, and are super boring. I think this one has been damaged beyond repair and I'm sure everyone if they didn't quit already, surely will with season 2. No surprise if this thing is cancelled real soon.
