Now is the Only Thing that is real.

Warning: Spoilers
Four Kent State students get together at Halloween. Jett (Marshall Vargas) sometimes sounds like Jack, Jeb, and Joe, downloads an app that promises to turn a person into a werewolf for $25.00. A package with instruction arrives at his door within moments. Jett and his three friends drive out to the cemetery during the full moon as only Jett completes the instructions. If he didn't turn into a werewolf and eat his cat, it wouldn't be a film.

The film had a lot of dull scenes and dialogue. The acting was bad with Bill Schroeder as Professor Rader was amateurish. Worth passing over.

Guide: No f-words, sex, or nudity.

Good Concept
soulfunkyjazz9 May 2024
I watched this last night i like the idea and the concept of this movie but the dialogue and acting was terrible .The only good bits were the actual Werewolfs and the Werewolf kills they looked pretty good but the main characters none of them were likable in my books plus they were all pretty annoying and unbelieveble. But i did like the overall idea and story to me that was pretty original .I think if they had overhauled or reviewed and improved the script plus get better actors or people that could actually act this would have been a really good movie. Coming from the Uncorked film studios i kind of expected a bit more.

HIGHLY ENTERTAINING CREATURE FEATURE
melindakbryce20 April 2024
I saw this both in the theatre and at home on Tubi, and I have to say that this indie film is a lot of fun! It kind of gave us Mystery Incorporated Scooby Doo vibes for a new generation. With a gang of young people trying to figure out who's behind the deadly animal attacks and the new app that has its users drinking a vial of blood, Byte incorporates the tropes and characters of an old school mystery creature thriller with modern technology, a twist of humor, and tons of blood spatter! The theatre audience was fully engaged and it was fun a second time at home too. While some of the acting was either over the top or deadpan, it lent to the genre well and there are lines that people came out of theatre repeating! Jett was really well ancted, you'd be shocked to know it was the a tor's first feature film! And April and Nora were believable heroes who really showed their acting chops (played by veteran actress Kayden Bryce and newcomer Carlie Allen) as they fought for... well, I won't spoil it for you!
