He's not just an animal. He's a caring being

Warning: Spoilers
This episode had the best depiction of King Kong as a character since 2005. Instead of just being an animal he had entirely human presence that was felt in this entire episode.

I almost cried when I saw his expression of shock when he saw the squid Titan killed the villagers, shows me that he truly cares for the natives Also when the girl he was with got sick and died in his arms, I couldn't believe my eyes when he buried her on his mountain and hung her necklace on his wall.

Truly, the creator of King Kong would be happy to see this. I admit so far the series story writing could use some work.

Accidentally ... great, literally unforgettable

The good news about streaming media is that it exposed the flaws and the scams in the "pay cable" world, where 80% of the content was unwatchable, but viewers were forced to take "packages" that supported such content anyway. The bad news about streaming media is that, inevitably, the profit motive takes over -- and here too the producers create stories with endless arcs, all designed simply to prolong the suspense ... and the cash flow. Assuming the series is renewed, that is. This astonishing episode, almost poetry in motion, with minimal dialog, shows us what creators are capable of doing when they are not obsessed with making the story (and the dialog) as complicated as possible. It is the unexpected jewel of the season. ((Designated "IMDb Top Reviewer."
