Mismatch episode
studioAT15 May 2020
Warning: Spoilers
A real mismatch of an episode, with some filler plots (Charlotte) and some that are integral moving forward (Victoria's son etc).

I liked the wounded nature of Nolan here, and the sibling nature of his relationship with Emily.

'Angry' Jack isn't overly convincing but I liked that he is being teamed with Ashley.

I prefer to focus on the good, rather than the filler.

Regina, set to bring out the wild side of Charlotte
RavenGlamDVDCollector24 July 2017
Warning: Spoilers
Ah, at least Christa didn't get her scenes deleted again this episode. And some extra viewer interest here with bad girl Regina set to initiate (and seduce) rich girl Charlotte into the girls-gone-wild lifestyle.

Some loose thoughts:

Re Emily listening in on Victoria and Conrad discussing the 1973 (supposed) abortion. Noticed the way anybody can just walk into the Grayson mansion unannounced? Millionaires would live with no security? The Graysons, especially, would have round-the- clock surveillance, given their precarious situation pitted against the Initiative.

I was kinda expecting to see Sloane again, the girl with her eye on Daniel, from last week's episode. Ah well...

The Falcon turns out to be... this unlikely Oriental girl? Hoo boy. Hoo boy again. Tut, tut, tut. You think she seems in any way convincing? Tut, tut, tut.

That old replacement Chinese dude really bugs me. Really doesn't fit in. The sophisticated original, back in Season 1, was a whole lot better. This guy just looks like a thug. And can't act. Is just there. People, the whole Chinese thing (Aiden included) was a BAD idea from the start. And now you perpetuate it this way? If you couldn't get the original guy again, drop the character.

Oh, and by the way, I should have mentioned this before, but Henry Czerny is absolutely great when he gets that menacing exasperated tone, that soft hissing of his words. And if The Raven praises a male actor, that should be some feather in his cap!
