This was a weird episode. It does fit in with the TBS episodes though. It wasn't out of character for Stan to lie to his friends/Francine just so he could keep his friends. This feels very modern with the references and the plot was pretty basic with the "shrinking down and going in someones body" plot but it was still decent. I wish modern cartoons didn't get so basic and modernised though. You could see this with shows like the new Futurama episodes which are done better but still don't feel right. Fox American Dad and TBS American Dad feel quite different. This episode in particular wasn't that funny and had too basic of a plot for me to really enjoy it. 5/10, middle of the road modern American Dad episode.

With most of the shows out there delayed because of the acting and writing strikes at least we got old faithful American Dad on the airwaves.
This episode fully embraced the awkward sci-fi stories of American Dad and I guess that is the right call to kick off the new season or the returning second half of the season, whatever TBS does with these things.
There were some funny moments here, but more importantly it was an easy premise to follow and it did not overly insult our intelligence. That is all you can ask for when it comes to an animated comedy in the year 2023 I guess so no complaints from me.
