This is nowhere near the quality Family Guy used to give us, but I feel like they finally have a decent writing staff in place and have settled into the kind of vibe and program that works. It feels very sitcom-y, Peter was emasculated during an accident at sea and struggles to regain Lois' trust.
Some jokes worked, some didn't, some landed, some didn't, but it is an easy watch for the most part. There are not too many things that insult your intelligence, and that was a problem for years when it came to Family Guy.
If they can keep this kind of quality up for a whole season I might call myself a Family Guy fan again.
