A very loyal adaptation!!

For years a had been a fan of movie adaptations, specially mexican movies based on it's own songs. Unfortunately, through the years I had watched plenty of movies that are based on really good, and successful songs; but they don't have nothing to do with the song. (And even if the story, and it's characters are well developed; honestly that somehow, ruin the vision, we the song's fans have of it). Now that I have the opportunity to talk about ''Entre Hierba, Polvo y Plomo", and need to be honest to a of you: as a fan of movies based on mexican songs, I was a little bit skeptical about it, because I had seen plenty of other really good movies, with really good stories; but in terms of loyalty on it's song; unfortunately they were pretty. Then I finally decided to watch it, without expecting it fo be that good, even I am a fan of the song this movie is based of. As I was watching the initial credit sequence, I found out this movie might have a chance; because on the credits where it shows ''Argument(story): Reynaldo Martinez ''el gallero"(I noticed the author of the song, was involved on writing the story of he's.); ''Adaptacion(adaptation/screenplay)": Carlos Valdemar(famous mexican writer, known for had written hundreds of stories, from different genres; and among them some of them based on pretty famous mexican songs); and last but not least: ''Director": Fernando Duran Rojas(a very well known director, for directing El Extraño Hijo del Sheriff, and plenty of other successful movies, among plenty of other movies based on mexican songs). Once I had seen ''who did what", I knew from previous movies, this one might turn out to be good. As the movie was starting, I noticed this movie didn't used the classic technique the utilized in other song adaptations: begin the story incorporating the elements from the song; honestly noted first, because at the beginning they show us three henchmen interrogating a woman about Guzman's whereabouts; and without make her talk, then they killed her. Then after 15 minutes, we noticed the elements of the song begin to show up to us; but this movie, manage to incorporate the elements from the song, without spoiling the plot, and honestly that is something admirable (becuase most of the movies based on Mexican songs, all the elements from their specific songs based on, are always show up as the final part of the movie). And once after I had finished the movie, I was so satisfied with the finals product, because as a movie for entertainment, it manage to entertain me; and as a fan of mexican song adaptations, this one fulfilled it's goal: stay loyal to it's song. (By the way: thanks to this movie I had learned, that sometimes it is so much better if the creator of the certain thing; I this case the songwriter of the song get involved as co-writer in order to make a successful adaptation)
