Sprechblase - Alejandro Jodorowsky's influence
slevinjo13 August 2014
Quite possibly the most underrated art film of all time. Alejandro Jodorowsky's influence is evident here in this directorial masterpiece. Underlying Dark tones running throughout this film creates an essence of foreboding. The mixture of light and shadows are masterfully filmed and for a budget of 500 Euro it is a testament to independent film-making. Filming in color is a bold statement by simply stating that not all art independent movies have to be in B/W. The transformation of the lead character presents many questions and only on re-watch will you find the answers you are looking for. One could only wonder where they will stretch their imagination to next? Nolan?. Von Trier?.
