The show opens with Razor Ramon and Shawn Michaels cutting promos on each other. Vince McMahon is back as the play by play announcer after being found not guilty in the infamous steroids trial. Color commentator Randy Savage is happy that he's back. The first match is Razor Ramon versus Shawn Michaels, which is a great match. Todd Pettengill gives the SummerSlam Report. Alundra Blayze faces Bull Nakona in another great match. Jerry Lawler's guest on the King's Court is the just turned heel Bob Backlund. The show ends with the Smoking Gunns squashing George Andrews and Tom Bennett in a match that is very short because they were running out of time. For a change, almost everything on the show was interesting.
