This series has started quite well, especially because of Sean Bean. However, the series went into mediocre, less and less great writing, and seemed pointless after a while.
However, all of a sudden, with sudden and clever changes, episode 9 became a perfectly crafted, emotionally top, superbly acted one, especially the first half. Well, it might have been better to just stop it there, since the second part is closer to the earlier "poorer" episodes, except the final minutes, where real drama is on screen.
Fortunately, Sonja and Martin got more screen time, and they really add a lot to the series.
The very p***ed off Martin got good, and mostly believable combat scenes, except the ridiculous safe-house shootings - it is hard to believe, that after so many good films about this, creators can think to give cheap solutions... Anyway, better not to switch it off, despite a quite sudden quality change in the second half of this episode. If the whole show was like the first 20 minutes, it easily could become an all time classic. Anyway, Sean Bean is still alive in this episode, and gives a real acting, and well, hard to find anyone as great as he is.
