Art is Socialism :-)
thearamazd1 February 2022
Warning: Spoilers
A delightful (television) comedy play and a political satire. A former upper class bourgeois, who had discovered democratic socialism, is the new director of the museum. On his first day and evening, he is determined to implement his democratic principles straight away. But some of the staff and particularly the chief warden will simply not let him change a thing, everything must remain the same. And there is the group who wants to return the huge marble caryatids to Greece. Chaos ensues, and when the supporters of the new director overcome the 'conservative' or the 'old guard' opposition, they carry the director's plans to their logical conclusion by distributing the entire exhibits throughout the city for the people to enjoy the art. Broadcast on BBC TV - 1983.
