This guy Zane is insane...in a good way. He's like so many people you could know. He's parlayed his fervent interest in all things alcohol as defined by interesting ports of call around the world. He didn't forget to be himself even as he's producing a show for mass consumption. That's his "ace in the hole" as he just lands here and there around the world. He's still a nutty guy who has a love of the drink. In a person he distills (pardon the pun) into a host the driving force within that has always encouraged each culture to use alcohol as a social lubricant. In this show you truly get a unique insight into each country he visits. He hits the obvious as well as the more hurried local flavor of what each region brings to the table of both history and current drinking cultures. He never takes himself too seriously and that is the charm. He obviously enjoys his work, sometimes a bit much! In this he uncovers gold in the local scene. This is the perfect blending of a history and social mash up. See Zane and I dare you to not get thirsty.
