Interesting subject, certainly deserves more attention

"Lazar: Cosmic Whistleblower" is an 18.5-minute documentary film from 2016 directed by Jeremy Kenyon Lockyer Corbell (what a long name!) and the focus here is of course on the man mentioned in the title. Now I will not go into detail here too much about the plot, lets just leave it at that that here we have talks about the possibilities of aliens and ufos in a really specific manner and Mr. Lazar is the key witness or whistleblower on their activities as the title calls him. I am actually pretty surprised that this little film here has only 50 ratings (including mine) because the subject seems like one that could interest the masses, even if I can see why many probably deem it foolish and fictitious. Still, the elaboration is not too bad, even if the film only gives us Laza's side of the story or lets say the one his supporters believe in. There are several interviews here, more with the aforementioned supporters than really too much with Lazar himself. But the man had his 60th birthday this year, so he deserves this film to be seen by more including me. Actually, the director (with the 4-word-name I mentioned earlier) made a full feature documentary on Lazar last year and that one was seen by many more, but again not really by too many. As for this short film here, whcih was perhaps the basis, I would say it does okay with what it tries to be and we always have to keep in mind that it is avirtually impossible to really fit a proper elaboration on such a complex subject into under 20, even under 19 minutes, so nobody should expect groundbreaking greatness from the outcome. But I liked it, probably also because Lazar seemed like such a likable guy and nothing like a show pony or attention seeker, even if overall I struggle to believe in his story. Still, watch it and make up your mind yourself. I give it a thumbs-up. I may disagree with the contents, but I do not disagree with the subject deserving a film made on it and the execution really wasn't shabby at all. Watch.
