The moment I saw Lucious in his prison recording studio, that's the moment I knew it was over. This show relies on its music performances entirely too much. The dialogue is cringeworthy, and their musical guests, like Becky G, are just not great choices for a drama like this. I felt like I was watching a mid-day soap opera, not the show that had me at the edge of my seat week-to-week last season. After this episode, there's no way I'm going to invest anymore time to this show. It was good while it lasted.
