She Turns Their Heads

Lea Giunchi comes to a bank with a letter from her uncle. He's an important man , so when he asks the firm to give her a job, they do it instantly, without a glance. Then when they do glance, they can't stop looking.

It's a simple and telling little comedy about what the tired businessman wants in his daily routine. Without any insane characters, without a chase, and without breaking any large and grangible objects, Miss Giunchi has written, directed and starred in a very funny half-reel comedy

Like many forgotten clowns of the silent era, there's little about Signorina Giunchi; apparently she was married, and had children. She stopped making films, as best as I can figure out (I don't read Italian), upon the death of her companion in 1919. She died in 1938, age 54.
