I agree with most people that this was a bit of a weaker episode. At least we get to see Pan for the first time in the series! This episode actually focuses more on Goku trying to get help from Whis. I admit that I was really confused by this episode. The narrator talked about how Vegeta had been training and it had been almost a year since then. I seriously thought that I had skipped an episode. I mean, it just doesn't show him training at all? I have to admit that the story seems too rushed. For something based on movies, that's not a good thing.
Still, it did have entertaining moments. I love how Goku simply follows Whis at the last minute against Chi Chi's orders. I would think Goten would be looking older by now. I mean, that kid's actually an uncle! It's great to see Chi Chi and Bulma talk. Bulma is the one who's more willing to let her husband go off to train. Did Goku really not have a phone before? It's weird to see how they've upgraded the technology even though the story moves at the same pace. ***
