This anime series is set three years after an event known as 'The Reflection'. During this event a portion of the population, known as 'Reflected', gained super-powers
as is usually the case in such circumstances some become heroes while the others become villains. Now somebody, known as Wraith, is rounding up those effected for reasons unknown. The story starts in New York and follows protagonists X-On and Eleanor Evans as they cross the country trying to save other Reflected. Inevitably they repeatedly cross paths with Wraith's followers and their numbers increase before they finally confront him in Los Angeles and learn his plan.
When I started watching this series I was a little unsure about it; it doesn't really have much of an anime look had I watched the dubbed version I might have mistaken it for an American series; hardly surprising given that it was co-created by famed comic writer Stan Lee. Once I'd got used to the style I started to enjoy it more and more; the idea of an event creating super heroes/villains might not be original but the story is rather fun and the characters are interesting. Overall I wouldn't call this a must see but it is worth checking out if you like the genre.
